totally awesome, i love it... and it brings back memories. in 1955 we had one of these, our number was double digit and we had to go through an operator...
ReplyDeleteI too remember these phones. This one appears to be missing its hand crank. There was a crank on the side that you used to ring the operator, as I recall, when you wished to place a call.
ReplyDeleteWe had one of those stored up in the attic. It got burned as trash, and how I wish I had it now!

ReplyDeleteI love vintage telephones. I have a friend who worked for AT&T years ago. She has several different vintage phones in her home, some were made into lamps.
