I just found this awesome tool for photographers.
And better yet, you can download it for free to your desktop!
It is called The Photographer's Ephemeris,
and it tells you just about everything you need to know about natural light for every day of the year.
Plug in a location and you will find the time of sun and moon rise and sun and moon set and
where locationally each will rise and set.
It tells you how much of the moon is illuminated.
Or say you are on vacation and you want to know when the sun will rise or set over the mountains...
or perhaps behind the lake?
This is your place!
And they have an online tutorial here.
And...you can get an iphone app for it...
now if only I had an iphone.
Is this cool or what?
